6 Beautiful Art Galleries To Visit In Paris

Hi guys! Welcome to my blog. Today I’m going to be chatting about galleries to visit in Paris. I’ve been to Paris quite a few times and am a great lover of art and and so am excited to share my top 6 galleries with you!

If you’d like to see my whole Paris City Guide and Itinerary from February you can check out my post here.

Top Tip: If you’re under 26 and an EU national then you can enter most galleries and museums for free if you present your identification.

Musee Rodin in Paris

Musee National Rodin

For those who enjoy sculpture and the outdoors, you should definitely head to the Auguste Rodin gallery. They have an indoor exhibition which consists of smaller sculpture, drawings and paintings however the garden is where the true beauty is. You can wander through and see great masterpieces out in the open.

Admission: €12 (Full Price), €9 (Non-EU citizens 18-26), Free (Under 18, EU citizens 18-26) Opening Hours: 10:30 – 18:30

Top Tip: Head over around 11am when it is quieter, and then grab lunch in the cafe in the garden! The Musee Picasso is nearby too, with lots of small, cute shops in between the two so I would head there afterwards.

Musee de l’orangerie

For the most beautiful room made with panels of waterlilies painted by Monet – this is the place to go. It is a treasure-trove of impressionist art which is situated in a garden close to the Eiffel Tower. It’s perfect for those with little time.

Admission: €9 (Full Price), Free (Under 18, EU Citizens 18-26) Opening Hours: 9:00-18:00

Musee De L'Orangerie in Paris

Musee Picasso

I loved the Picasso museum so much. Whilst there is a lot of his own artwork, there are also those who produce art in a similar style however my favourite part of the gallery is Picasso’s personal collection. The collection is on the top floor and definitely something not to miss.

Admission: €14 (Full Price), Free (Under 18, 18-25 EU citizens) Opening Hours: 10:30-18:00

Musee D’Orsay

The Musée d’Orsay can be recognised by it’s large clock. That looks out onto the Seine (which I’m sure you’ve seen frequently on instagram!). It’s filled with many artistic movements and mediums are there truly is something for everyone. They also have a terrace where you can overlook the river and get amazing views of Paris. Whether you have the full day or just a few hours, it’s a great place to get a shot for the ‘gram!

Admission: €14 (Full Price), Free (Under 18, 18-25 EU citizens) Opening Hours: 09:30 – 18:00

Centre Pompidou

If you’re a lover of modern art and great views of Paris, this is the gallery for you. You could spend days here looking at the various sculptures and paintings. However if you have a little less time I would suggest heading straight to the top of the building to get amazing views of Paris.

Admission: €14 (Full Price), €11 (18-25), Free (Under 18) Opening Hours: 11:00 – 22:00

Centre Pompidou in Paris

Obviously, the Louvre had to be on this list! Whilst I can attest to the Mona Lisa being quite disappointing, there is so much other amazing work on display that it’s not one to miss. It would take about 100 days to see every piece of art in the Louvre, whilst only looking for 30 seconds at each work so don’t expect to see everything – I would also recommend heading to the shopping centre under the pyramid as it is really lovely.

Admission: €15 (Full Price), Free (Under 18, 18-25 EU citizens) Opening Hours: 09:00 – 18:00

I hope you’ve found this useful and have some inspiration if you’re visiting Paris soon! Let me know your favourite galleries to visit in Paris if I’ve missed them off!

Bye for now.
